Top 10% of our drivers at this location make $120k+/yr!

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $27.00 Per Hour
• Regional within 400-mile radiusof your house,Needs reliable vehicle
• Overtime Paid After 40 hours
• Tenure bonus $1,000 each year when actively employed from Nov 1st – Oct 31st .
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel OR Sleeper, Per Diem Pay: $50 per night
• Sign On Bonus: Pays you $250 at 30 days and $250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday – Friday -Must be Flexible.
• Hours per Week: 50 + hours average per week
• Deliver To: NE and New England region
• Trailer Type: Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed
• Freight: Touch/No Touch - Varies by Account
• Comprehensive Benefits start 30 days after hire
• Paid Time Off Starts at Day 1- 80 hours accrued in 1st year

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

• Deliver SOLO To: New England / Northeastern States Region
• Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleeper - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck/Flatbed
• Trailer Type: 48' - 53' Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, Conestoga, Curtainside and Container(6 months flatbed required)
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements required
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate and Moffett
• Freight: Mix of Touch/No Touch – Product Varies
• Load Securement – Strapping, Tarping and Chaining

The starting salary for this position is $84,000. Employees may also be eligible for a Shift Differential

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
