Job Summary
Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including making accurate credit card transactions and reporting. Cashiers will also be responsible for setting-up, maintaining and cleaning their workstation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Greet guests, guide guests through their ordering, resolve guest issues and properly inform guests of cashless transactions.
+ Performs POS sales transactions in a timely fashion.
+ Follows standard procedures for issuing refunds.
+ Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
+ Replenishes food and beverage, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
+ Keeps all areas stocked.
+ Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
+ Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent a plus.
+ Convention Center, Arena and/or Hotel experience preferred.
+ Considerable skill in the use of a POS system.
+ Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
+ Ability to stand and move in a high pace environment and continuously perform essential job functions.
+ Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
