Title: Production Scheduler

Reports to: Production Manager

Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team at New Way Trucks. As a pivotal part of our manufacturing operations, the Production Scheduler will be responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure timely completion and optimal use of resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within the heavy manufacturing industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The Production Scheduler will keep production flowing to meet sales goals for the manufacturing of garbage trucks. They schedule production jobs for manufacturing needs.
Review daily MRP and schedule results for the production planners.
Optimize the build sequence of jobs to maintain manufacturing constraints by modifying each job's ship-by date.
Track production orders from release to completion.
Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
Assemble manufacturing shop packets.
Order non-stock production parts to the proper area.
Inventory company stock units.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Proven work experience as a Production Scheduler, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and capacity planning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficient in production scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.

Physical Requirements:
Heavy manufacturing environment with time required on the production floor.
