Job Description

To produce personal service of legal process on individuals within the boundaries of the Omaha Tribal Reservation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• To locate parties named in legal process (summons, subpoena, notices, etc.)
• To produce personal service of named individuals in a professional and detached manner.
• To maintain a log of the date and location where service was obtained.
• Make returns of service to the court to document service.
• Testify to service if needed in Court Proceedings.
• To maintain confidentiality about the nature and identify of persons receiving process.
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

• Valid Driver's license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES:

• Ability to deal calmly with angry, frustrated and depressed or belligerent people
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision and stay on task
• Must maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Must comply with Drug Free Policy
• Must have no pending criminal matters before this court and not be on probation.
• Must be able to conduct themselves away from the job in such a manner as to comply with Court polices regarding off the job conduct.

Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
