Principal Consultant (Data Center - DELL EMC Subject Matter Expert) About the role As a Computacenter Principal Consultant, you will assist in providing transformative technology solutions for the world's most visionary companies. Along with designing and implementing single and multi-vendor technology solutions, you will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading sales and technical sales team to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable roadmaps to achieve their goals. This role focuses on DELL EMC Enterprise Solutions with an emphasis on the PowerFlex technology stack. What you'll be doing Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values. Act as a technical lead in technology solutions by doing the following: Mentoring other Engineers. Leading a team of resources on larger projects. Reviewing the deliverables of other Engineers, as appropriate. Acting as a point of escalation. Present technology topics at internal education sessions, and industry user group meetings and/or conferences. Be regarded as a thought leader by recommending new technologies, best practices and tools that support the growth of the business. Assess Customer environment and make design and solution recommendations. Act as liaison between Pre-Sales and Delivery teams. Provide design, deployment and implementation services of single or multi-vendor solutions. Handle issues escalated by Consultants and Lead Consultants. Lead Project teams as assigned. Be current with vendor offerings and technology. Achieve and maintain Industry and Partner focused certifications as it relates to your focus area(s). Be available to meet the customer’s IT needs. Achievement of individual utilization targets. Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values. End-to-End understanding of PowerFlex Products, deployment models, and architecture. Lead the design and implementation of the PowerFlex platform in a customer’s environment. Provide hands-on training to customers on PowerFlex features, management, and maintenance capabilities. Develop automation scripts to implement, migrate, and maintain deployed solutions. Collaborate with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to production. What you have 15+ years of implementation experience in large enterprise environments. Recent consulting experience is a major plus. Professional VMware VCAP or higher certifications are a plus. DELL EMC Partner Certifications preferred. DELL EMC PowerFlex Design Certification highly preferred. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Subject matter expert within your focused technology stack. Ability to design complex multi-technology solutions. Ability to design complex technical solutions and provide input into bid, project and technical documents. Broad knowledge of the business benefits that technical solutions can provide. Ability to lead and organize a large virtual technical team, with good negotiation skills and people management skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present in a group setting. Experience with Linux and shell scripting (bash/zsh/sh). Experience with troubleshooting in large complex environments. Experience and/or understanding of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and High-Availability concepts. Experience and/or understanding of current industry accepted Backup and Recovery concepts and practices. Demonstrated confidence in leading customer-facing discussions.
