Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Policy and Procedure Intern to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our organization operates efficiently and consistently across all departments. The intern will be responsible for identifying, indexing, consolidating, and documenting all existing policies and procedures into a comprehensive manual. Additionally, the intern will establish a review cycle to ensure that policies and procedures remain up-to-date and effective.
One-on-one training with follow-up access to the Compliance Manager will be conducted.
This is an unpaid Internship
Responsibilities: - Policy and Procedure Identification : Work with department heads and staff to identify all existing policies and procedures across the organization.
- Indexing: Create a detailed index of all identified policies and procedures, categorizing them by department and function.
- Consolidation: Analyze and consolidate policies and procedures where there is overlap or redundancy to streamline organizational practices.
- Documentation: Develop a comprehensive policy and procedure manual that is clear, accessible, and easy to navigate.
- Review Cycle Creation : Establish a systematic review cycle for the policy and procedure manual to ensure regular updates and revisions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to gather feedback and ensure that the manual meets the needs of all stakeholders.
- Training and Support: Assist in training staff on the new policy and procedure manual and provide ongoing support as needed.

Requirements
Education: - To qualify for an internship the applicant must be enrolled in or recently graduated from an academic program.
- All Interns must interview with all individual(s) who will provide assignment of internship tasks and internship supervision.
- Interns must pass all background checks that would be required of an employee performing the same or similar tasks or working with the same population.
- Working toward completing a college degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Pre-Law, or Compliance Management.
Experience :
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to communicate professionally with staff, volunteers, and community members.
- Self-motivated.
- Good organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
