Get to Know Your Team: Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services. Responsibilities Work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all necessary duties, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs. Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff. Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests. Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties. Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Have BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position Preferred Job Requirements: Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification which includes BLS, or currently enrolled in nursing school Two (2) years’ experience in acute or long-term care Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course Knowledge of medical terminology
