We are looking for the ideal Medicinal Chemist

The ideal candidate is an innovative and detail-oriented medicinal chemist with a strong background in drug discovery and optimization, particularly in dermatology or wellness-focused therapeutic areas. They are a strategic thinker who excels in designing and synthesizing small molecules, navigating SAR studies, and translating complex data into actionable insights. This individual thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments, is highly collaborative with cross-functional teams, and possesses a proactive approach to managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead Compound Design & Synthesis: Design, and optimize small molecules to target biological pathways relevant to beauty and wellness.
• Conduct SAR analyses to guide chemical modifications and improve target specificity, efficacy, and safety profiles of lead compounds.
• Pipeline Advancement: Take projects from HIT validation throughout hit-to-lead and lead optimization stages to preclinical development, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Cutting-Edge Techniques: Apply modern medicinal chemistry techniques, including computational drug design, fragment-based approaches, and high-throughput screening (HTS) integration

WHO YOU ARE:

• Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field; exceptional candidates with an M.Sc. and significant industry experience will also be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in medicinal chemistry, specializing in first-hit identification and hit-to-lead optimization
• Proven track record of designing and optimizing small molecules with a clear understanding of ADMET properties
• Proficiency in modern analytical and purification techniques (e.g., NMR, HPLC, MS)
• Familiarity with computational chemistry tools (e.g., molecular docking, QSAR).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to a diverse audience
