MECHANICAL ENGINEER ROTATING EQUIPMENT

Location: Can be 100% remote in the US OR work out of the Downers Grove, IL office.
Job type: 2 months plus Contract assignment.
Pay: $53.00 per hour or more (depending on experience)
It is scheduled for 2 months but may go longer for the right individual OR go direct hire.

Our client, a national private EPC Firm, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Rotating Equipment for a contract opportunity out of Downers Grove, IL.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS
* Looking for someone with experience in putting together Technical Specs for Mechanical Rotating Equipment such as Pumps and Compressors in the Petrochemical or Refining industry for vendors to review and quote.
* The candidate will also review the quote from the vendor to ensure accuracy from what is requested to what is quoted.
* Looking for 8-10+ years of experience minimum.
* This can be 100% remote OR work out of the Downers Grove, IL office.

The Mechanical Engineer Rotating Equipment is responsible for supporting a key Refining and Petrochemical client with the requisitioning, technical bid evaluation, and vendor document review of various rotating equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare specifications for pumps and compressors.
* Perform rotating equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations.
* Review rotating equipment vendor documents for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
* Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings. REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 10+ years of rotating equipment experience working in the Refining, Petrochemical, or Chemical Industry.
* Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal, and Written)
* Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work in an interactive and open team environment.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Must be organized, and self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment, and take direction from others. ESPO Corporation
