Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented unpaid legal intern or paralegal to join our team. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a legal environment while supporting our C-Suite in pending litigation projects. This is an unpaid internship that will involve 10-20 hours per week. The intern is required to work out of the Camp Hill office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist C-suite with preparing litigation update briefings for the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and up-to-date.
• Conduct legal research using online databases and other resources.
• Assist in the preparation of potential witnesses for hearings
• Attend meetings, depositions, and court hearings as needed, taking notes and summarizing key points.
• Review critical internal organizational documents from 2018 to present regarding the subject of the litigation, analyze and assess their importance to the litigation, and create organizational structure to support litigation.
• Prepare and review discovery documents, including interrogatories and requests for production.
• Assist with case management and trial preparation, including preparing trial binders and exhibits.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate schedules.
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student, paralegal student, or recent graduate with a strong interest in pursuing a legal career.
• Strong research, writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Conduct polite and professional communication in person in addition to via phone, virtual meetings, email, and/or mail.
• Effectively identify, analyze and solve problems.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
• Pass and maintain required background clearances.
• Work with individuals of diverse background and ages.
• Use sound judgment and critical thinking skill when decision making.
• Strong public relations skills and ability to develop community collaborations.
• Lift/carry thirty (30) pounds.
• Sitting, standing, or walking for a moderate period of time is required.
