Onsite Join a prestigious landscape architecture firm in New York, NY dedicated to designing high-end residential landscapes and creating exceptional outdoor environments. As a Landscape Architect, you ll oversee projects from inception to completion, manage key milestones, and lead teams in crafting bespoke designs. This role involves working on diverse projects across multiple locations and requires travel to sites for collaboration with contractors. They are seeking a skilled designer with leadership capabilities who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, and collaborative environment.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 / year DOE
Landscape Architect Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
- Manage project teams of 1-2 designers, setting expectations and deadlines during weekly team meetings
- Develop and execute custom designs, incorporating bespoke features such as swimming pools, tennis courts, and other tailored landscape elements
- Oversee all project phases, including design reviews, documentation, and construction administration
- Conduct site visits weekly or bi-weekly to collaborate with contractors and ensure design integrity
- Communicate effectively with clients, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships throughout project lifecycles
- Redline AutoCAD drawings and contribute to detailed design documentation
- Maintain a two-week project lookahead and proactively address any gaps or challenges
Landscape Architect Requirements: - Bachelor s degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on high-end single-family residential projects
- Proven ability to lead teams and oversee projects from start to finish
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, SketchUp, and 3D rendering programs
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and advocate for design concepts confidently
- Experience designing bespoke features like pools, tennis courts, and other high-end outdoor elements
- Ability to travel to project sites regularly, primarily in the Hamptons, and occasionally to other locations such as Georgia and Utah
