A leading utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects company is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and employee engagement activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective execution of HR operations and contributing to a positive organizational culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Staffing:
    1. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
    2. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

  • Employee Relations:
    1. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
    2. Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment.

  • Payroll Processing:
    1. Process payroll accurately and on time using the ADP system, ensuring compliance with local and federal payroll regulations.
    2. Address payroll-related inquiries and troubleshoot issues as needed.

  • Benefits Administration:
    1. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
    2. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to benefits.

  • Employee Engagement and Activities:
    1. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
    2. Organize company events, training sessions, and other activities that promote a cohesive work environment.

  • HR Compliance and Reporting:
    1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
    2. Prepare and submit required reports in compliance with local labor laws and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR generalist role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and Puerto Rico labor laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems including ADP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
