As a Permanent Data Center Technician, you will be on the frontlines of our technology operations, ensuring the smooth running of our data center. This role is crucial in maintaining the backbone of our IT infrastructure, which supports our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the company's data center, including system upgrades, security configurations, patching, and network performance.
  • Monitor and diagnose network issues using advanced network monitoring tools, ensuring network system availability and optimal performance.
  • Manage incident response, ensuring swift resolution of any issues and minimal disruption to services.
  • Perform regular network maintenance and system upgrades to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the data center.
  • Develop and implement service solutions to improve data center operations.
  • Conduct capacity planning to ensure that the data center can meet current and future demands.
  • Adhere to and enforce strict security protocols, including Security+ and CCNA guidelines, to safeguard the company's data and systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest data center technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a data center environment.
  • Proven experience with data center infrastructure and network systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response and network diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in service solutions and network maintenance.
  • Experience with system upgrades and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with patching and network performance.
  • Understanding of capacity planning and ensuring network system availability.
  • Security+ certification
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
