The Keo Group Inc.-Illinois is a General Contractor, Construction Manager and Design-Build firm. The corporate office is intended to service our five state midwestern operation. We are searching for an experienced General Construction Project Manager with some Business Development expertise. The executive office is located primarily in the Northeastern Illinois Office [Barrington, Illinois]. The Project Manager and Business Development professional will play a dual role within our organization, combining project management expertise with strategic business development initiatives. This individual will oversee the supervision of planning, execution, and completion of construction projects in the designated service area while working directly with Senior management in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive company growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement solutions to mitigate them.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and post-project evaluations.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and close-out materials.

Business Development:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, conducting market research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry contacts within both the private and public sector to expand the company's network and drive business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new projects and contracts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies that enhance the company’s visibility and reputation in the market.
  • Track and report on business development activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Participate in industry outreach events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay informed about market trends and build the company’s profile and visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Strong business development skills with a track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Past work experience with a General Contractor/Construction Manager is a plus.

Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000
