Community Development Officer
Rockland Federal Credit Union (RFCU) is searching for an experienced Community Development Officer to assist with lending opportunities and outreach.
The Community Development Officer will build and maintain relationships with community organizations and businesses, identifying and developing strategic partnerships to enhance the Credit Union's brand, visibility, and community impact. You will represent the Credit Union at community events, meetings, and other outreach activities to promote lending programs and other products and services. You will work closely with the lending team to design and implement lending products and other products and services that meet community needs. You will also work within the Credit Union to actively pursue new and existing select employee groups (SEGs) through sign up events and community involvement. You will support the Credit Union's strategic plan and overall goals.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, community development, or a related field and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in lending, financial services, or community development. A strong understanding of lending products, credit analysis, and financial counseling is also required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are preferred, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community groups. Being proactive and self-motivated with a strong commitment to community service will also be key.
