Job Title: Bench Jeweler

Position Overview
Wedding Day Diamonds is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in crafting and repairing fine jewelry, ensuring that every piece meets our high standards of quality, service, and timeliness. From setting and sizing to polishing and engraving, you will use your expertise to bring our customers’ cherished jewelry to life. Compensation
We value transparency and reward skill and efficiency. Bench Jewelers earn competitive pay based on experience, expertise, and productivity. Compensation includes an hourly base rate ranging from $30.00 - $37.00 per hour, with the opportunity for performance-based incentives.

Responsibilities
As a Bench Jeweler, you will:

• Perform a full range of jewelry repairs, including setting, sizing, re-tipping, welding, soldering, polishing, engraving, and cleaning.
• Ensure the quality and craftsmanship of all merchandise and provide accurate assessments of jewelry condition.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace to maximize productivity.
• Work collaboratively with store teams and fellow jewelers to meet customer expectations and timelines.
• Support additional locations and the home office when work overflows or special projects arise.
• Consult directly with staff and customers as needed to ensure repair work aligns with customer expectations.
• Provide cost estimates for additional repair and customization options.
• Follow all safety and security protocols when using shop equipment and chemicals.
• Utilize technology and shop tracking systems to manage workload efficiently.

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with:

• 2+ years of bench jeweler experience (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
• High level of visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with jewelry repair tools and techniques.
• Comfort with technology and shop management software.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Availability to work evenings as needed (we are closed on Sundays and major holidays).
