Barge Superintendent - NH3 - Ammonia specialist

Oversees maintenance and repair of barge machinery, including steel replacement, routine repairs, and dry-docking. Requires travel and onboard presence to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise overhauls, repairs, and dry-docking of barges.
• Address maintenance issues reported by NH3 Tankerman Dispatch personnel/vendors.
• Be available 24/7 for emergencies and system failures.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of marine industry experience.
• Prior experience with NH3 Ammonia barge maintenance and operations
• Knowledge of barges and cargo transfer procedures.
• Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
