Job Summary:
Attends designated parking area during established lot hours.
Monitors and/or patrols lots to check for required parking permits and to ensure vehicles are parked in designated spaces and not blocking traffic flow.
Knowledge of Parking Department regulations, policies and procedures Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office Proficient in use of email and internet. Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal Good customer service skills Ability to prioritize work
Must provide quality customer service
Regulates parking in assigned lot restricting unauthorized vehicles andproviding entry to authorized vehicles . Completes reports or forms required by department . Counts parked vehicles and holds required spaces for reservationsProvides directions parking alternatives and campus information upon request to visitors,
students, staff and faculty. Prepares temporary permits as required for customer .
Notifies Parking Services via two-way radio or telephone of need for Parking Enforcement Officer Watches assigned lot for suspicious activity and reports such to university public safety unit. Checks permits to verify authorization and assist in identification of stolen permits.
High school diploma or equivalent; experience in customer service preferred.
Minimum Experience:
One ( 1) year parking enforcement experience preferred
Must possess and maintain a drivers license.
