This role entails managing the month-end close process, analyzing and validating financial data, conducting various account reconciliations, and performing financial analytics on site performance. Reporting to the Plant Controller, it necessitates collaboration with other members of the accounting team and plant operations teams.

Our esteemed manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced and diligent Permanent Assistant Plant Controller to join our dynamic team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your financial acumen and leadership abilities to drive our financial operations and contribute to our overall business success. You will work closely with the Plant Controller and other key stakeholders, playing a critical role in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and auditing. You will also be involved in managing and improving our financial systems and processes, including our ERP system, OneStream, AS400, and Masterpiece.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Plant Controller in managing all financial aspects of the plant operations.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the plant's annual budget, financial forecasts, and operational goals.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary information and ensuring corrective measures are implemented for identified issues.
- Analyze and report on financial performance and variance, providing insightful information to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure the integrity of the plant's financial data and reporting systems, including the effective use and maintenance of the ERP system, OneStream, AS400, and Masterpiece.
- Monitor and evaluate the plant's ECIDA performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and initiating appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the plant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Solid experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems, particularly ERPs
- Strong understanding of ECIDA and its application in the manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful information.
- Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
